Default Later year Hybrids better fuel economy?

Are the later year 2010-2013 Hybrids showing a measurable difference in highway mileage? My 09 averages 19.5 overall and about 20 at interstate travel doing 75-80 mph. Been looking at picking up a nice lower mileage one and wondering if worth the extra to get a 12-13 model if they are a bit better on highway. Doing a lot more highway recently and have racked a lot up on the 09.

Not sure. But it helped my mileage doing 2wd all the time. The 12/13 has EV in reverse. Unless you drive backwards, there is no significant advantage. 09 has 3.4 final drive better acceleration and towing FYI.

I have read some have a 3.42 axle but my 09 GMC Yukon hybrid has the GU4 3.08 axle. Not the fastest off the line but tows well and has awesome passing power.
