New Guy
Hi - I just bought a fully loaded new 2009 4x2 Tahoe Hybrid. LOVE IT! Very nice to have found this forum! It has already been very helpful. Please don't ask me what I paid, after reading through other posts on this site I realize now I performed crappy research and completely overpaid!! A little nauseous right now. Is what it is.
Can anyone share experience on oil changes? I notice the manual calls for a change every 3750 miles. But I am near 3750 now and still show 80% oil life on dash computer.

Welcome! I won't ask what you paid...
On GM vehicles, always go by the dashboard computer, it will tell you when to change it. I have three GM cars right now with those. Also, when the extended warranty company had to buy me a new engine for my '99 STS a few years back, they tried to argue that I didn't change it every 3,000 miles. I showed them the manual that says to change it according to the dash board indicator and receipts for those changes (~8,000miles average). They bought me a new engine.
BUT, I always change the oil within the first 1,000 miles when it is new. Probably an old-fart behavior in this modern age, but I like to know the little metal bits from the factory are all cleaned out...
Also, I would expect to go very long distances without oil changes on this vehicle. The engine barely gets above 2,000rpm and the load from start is shared with the electric motors. If they thought about it, they could have lifetime oil in these things...

Re: New Guy
This is a really good point. The ICE takes on a lot less stress than a gas only vehicle since the electric gets all that mass moving before letting the ICE take over. My TaHy is coming up on 1k miles, probably going to dump the oil and filter this weekend to get them little "shavings" out of there
