If anybody had a major issue with one of the above models please post vehicle model and year of manufacture and the problem.
and if the problem was permenantly resolved or not yet.

And if you are a satisfied owner with no problems, pls post your vote.

Major problems such as,
1.Vehicle won't start for several time with a short period of time.
2. Brake issues: vehicle won't stop when hitting teh breaks.
3. any other major manufacturer problem.

You help is highly appreciated

Thanks all in advance.

Default ok here you go...

I have had ONLY ONE issue with my Jan 08 build Yukon.

2 separate times after being started with the remote and after driving a block or so the car shut down. steering and brakes were not affected but everything went dead. after sitting a minute or two and shifting into park, the car restarted with the key and worked fine.
I took it to my dealer and they diagnosed the problem as a faulty crimp in the internal transmission wiring harness. This was replaced and since then I have had no issues.

no 'pole' is complete without mileage query's so:
I regularly get 22 to 23 MPG in town and on the highway averaging 85 to 90 I get 19.5 MPG.

I am VERY SATISFIED with my Yukon as I bought it mainly for the fuel mileage in town. I DOUBLED my fuel mileage from my 98 jeep GC 5.9 and this was well worth the expense. I have no need for a Prius or similar cars as I do more than drive to the Quickie mart. The Yukon Hybrid is the first real world hybrid that makes sense! It is also very refreshing to see something made in America perform exactly as it was advertised. After much research on what to buy the full sized vehicles were the only ones that did not require me to compromise my vehicle requirements.

Jet1,
Thanks again, great to hear you are very satesfied with your vehical.

After going over most of the GMC forums I got a total of 7 different owners that had compaints about some malfunction of various issues with their hybrids.I am sure I missed some posts.
I don't think this is a high number so far.
I hope more people will contibute to this thread so we get more accurate stats.

looking forward to hearing from other haybrid owners.

It seems no one is complaining about their hybrids anymore, which is good news for all
Since the thread is fading away, and less users are logging on and posting their opinion on that subject.
Looks like most remaining users are either satesfied with their vehicles, or they are not having any issues, hence no reason for them to log on to the forum anymore

Thanks Jet for your input, hope other owners will contribute to this forum in the near future

Default i've said it before....

but this post sums it up for me...

"That was the 12V battery dieing on my AuPair. I had to jump start it. Turns out she admitted some time later as to having left the car turned on with the engine off for 1.5 hours."

These are complex cars with complex technology and you really do need to "re-learn" the driving experience, otherwise you will either be unhappy or experience oddball issues. The one thing I wish GM would do is to insist on having a Hybrid Specialist at each dealership. if they did this I think they would sell more of these. In my experience i knew far more about it than any of the sales folks including the general sales manager. they were nice enough folks but just couldn't answer my questions in the way I wanted them to. Of course I already knew the answers but I was hoping for more knowledge out of the sales force.

I just bought a 2009 Hybrid Tahoe a month ago. Already have over 3K miles on it and no complaints thus far. Rides like a Cadillac!!

Thanks again,
Funny thing is I've never walked into ANY dealer and found a salesperson that knew more about the vehicle I wanted than I did (and I've bought Cadillac, Lexus, & BMW). Same held true at the 3 dealers I went to before buying my Tahoe Hybrid. One dealer couldn't even figure out how to get the 3rd row seat out I'm **** when it comes to research and stuff before buying any vehicle but I still feel the salesfolks should know more about EVERY vehicle on their lot than I do, but that's just me and my high level of expectation. I own my own consulting business and if a customer knew more about my trade than me I'd be ashamed to charge him for any services, but again that's just me ....

I bought my 2008 Yukon the end of February. Everything was going great until the weather started to heat up. I started noticing a difference in the down shift in the transmission on the freeway and also a "stalling" out when I was at a dead stop but the vehicle was on. My gas mileage has decreased as well. I took it in when I got the battery recall letter as I thought maybe this was the issue. Turns out, after 2 trips to the dealership and the problem is getting worse, the only thing they can tell me is its due to the extreme tempertures...now why would you sell this vehicle in AZ if it doesn't work in extreme temperatures???!!?? Or why not tell the consumer what they can expect so I could have made a more informed decision to purchase this vehicle. Today I was pulling into a parking space and had to stand on the gas in order to get the vehicle to crawl into the spot. This is not "normal" in my book. I'd appreciate any feedback if anyone has experienced this and if you have been successful in correcting it. I don't really want to give the vehicle back, but AZ lemon law is 4 times to the dealership...I am also worried that one of these days I'm going to get creamed in traffic because the vehicle decides to think about which mode it wants to operate in. Thanks!
