Default Transmission cooler line leaking, burned oil.

Hi All, pretty new here on the forum. just bought my wife a 08 Yukon Hybrid with 61k miles on it. I gave it an oil changed since wasn't sure when was it last changed. The computer indicated that it still has 29% left before next oil change. I only collect near 4 qts of old oil, wonder what happen to the rest of it. I replace with 6 qts Mobil 1 synthetic and let see how it does. When I was under the truck, I saw one of the trans cooler line leak. Brought the truck to the dealer and going to cost me $411 in parts and labor. They have to replace the both lines since they come in a package. Has any one has these issue about the leaking and the oil burning?
Thanks all
