Fusion - MT COTY justified
I just drove a 2010 Ford Fusion rental car on a 400-mile round trip. What a great car. Despite driving through the suburbs of Chicago and getting caught in bumper-to-bumper traffic on the Dan Ryan Expy for over an hour, I still got nearly 33 mpg on the tank, which leads me to believe that it would easily get over 34 mpg in my normal highway driving.
I understand why MotorTrend, Consumer Reports, J.D. Power, and so many other auto-related interests have rated Fusion so high. In addition to great MPG, it had great performance (acceleration and braking), had lots of useful features, and was a very comfortable ride.
