Finally, a tesla first drive!
Tesla First Drive
mmmm, cant argue with that, proves the company isn't dead yet! No actual 0-60 specs yet, I want to see if they can pull of the 4 seconds 0-60 they promised not to long ago!

Likewise, I'm hoping for the best regarding Tesla.
The article seemed unclear -- it said that the car maker originally claimed 220 miles per charge, but mentioned a miscalculation, then said it gets about 100 miles per electric gallon. Does that mean only 100 miles per charge?
One great feature the article offered was the direct comparison to gasoline efficiency. It calculates that the Tesla gets the equivalent of 55 mpg. That puts it in line with the old Honda Insight hybrid -- another 2-seater.
The Tesla is much more fun, but for it's $100,000 price, I could buy an Insight plus pay off my house. That's a tough sell.

So, is the pricetag $80,000?
That's what T-zero was supposed to be.
I'm curious about this "whitestar" sedan. A fan of Babylon 5 perhaps? Hopefully it'll be in the $30,000 range and affordable.

Still even if the Tesla is costly to charge, 55 mpg is nothing to laugh at in a sports car.

My "old" hybrid gets over 80 mpg. Far more than 55 (if it only got 55 I'd junk it).
