Re: E30 experiement
S. Minnesota:
E85 $2.579
E10 $3.549
Ethanol = more than a buck cheaper than pure gas.
( Gas is only for off highway in MN. )
E85 in Colorado = $2.779

Re: E30 experiement
The Shell Station photo from Northern Wisconsin can be updated again as the E85 price dropped to $2.89 (9-29-08) while E10 was $3.69. This is about a 22% difference. I will update with more personal information in the next day or two as I just returned from my Mother's home.

Re: E30 experiement
Here is more data from my trip:
I ran my car down to 11 MTE (I normally do not drop my MTE to this low of a figure) and stopped at the Shell station for a partial fillup that approached E25:
of .75 gallons E85 plus 2.0 gallons of E10
drove back to the family home. Let it sit overnight. Drove to church (15 miles) from a cold start (55 degrees ) the next day-one hour later started it up and drove 14 miles to store. After 20 minutes of food shopping-started up and drove 4 miles home. The car then sat for the next three days. After three days of sitting, I started the vehicle up and drove 4 miles and stopped for 10 minutes at the hardware store, drove less than a mile and stopped at the bank for 15 minutes, drove another mile to the postal center and let the vehicle sit for 10 minutes, headed to the historical center and let the car sit for 45 minutes, startup did another errand at the local library before recording this data on my scanguage(s) at the Shell Station again:

This is a report that was suppose to reflect an E30 mixture but may have been closer to E25. It included a number of cold starts and short distance drives. I did refilled my tank with an E25 mixture for my long trip to Pa.
