What do you all think about a bit of minimal, non-invasive advertising at GreenHybrid? It's simply a matter of ensuring that this site remains one of my priorities. As much as I love contributing time and effort here, sooner or later reality hits and I realize that it seems a bottomless pit. If the community does not mind small Google ads or the like, perhaps this would help generate some revenue and keep it near the top of my list. Please let me know what you think.

Jason,
I personally wouldnt mind ads off to the sides or the bottom...just as long as there is no motion in them and its pretty neutral colors.
Cheers,
Steven

Anyway...withfirefox i would never have to see them

Jason,
I'm not averse to minimal advertising.
I agree with the "no motion" request.
Oh...and if isn't already obvious...no pop ups, please.

Popups are not an option for twofold reasons. First, I also find them incredibly annoying. Secondly, there is enough software out there (including the upcoming IE) that will make popups obsolete. At this time I am not going to display banner ads (animation graphics)... likely just small text ads.

Alright. I've added some small ads (mostly text) to the website. They're completely targetted and I don't believe they'll get in the way at all. Especially in the Learn, Compare, and Link sections (where they can be ignored completely!) They're fine with you all?

Looks o.k.They look fine to me.
Very subtle. Not "in your face", but still available when needed.
In fact, I shall click on one now....

Cheers,
Steven

It has a light gray background for a little bit of contrast. It helps separate the page so that everything isn't randomly placed on a white background. There's a sense of organization.

As far as the links, all I did was move the Downloads Area link up one row, sticking it at the end of the other links. How is this troublesome?

Jason,

Great job in intergrating the ads.
