High RPM's in the heat

Is excessive heat same as excessive cold as far as the ICE goes?

I know in winter, near 0 the engine will 'idle' at ~2200rpm, ie when coasting at speed where it'd normaly drop to ~1500rpm, it stays up.
Now that's it's 110+ every day it seems to be doing the same thing, is it running AC for the batt to keep it cool, and that's why it stays up?

Wish there was a working BTM for the SG for the 08's :(

Yes. In my 2005 FEH the idle rpm is as much as 600 rpm higher when I have both the front A/C on Max. and the battery needs cooling at the same time.
While there are two cooling loops with two freon evaporators, there is only one belt driven freon compressor. The compressor cannot compress enough freon for both loops at low rpm.

It is probably coincidence, but mine appears to happen right around 96 degrees exterior temperature. It adds about 500 RPM.
