Rear door seals

Anyone had trouble with the rear door seals coming displaced? Since the first day I had my car the right rear door seal has become displodged when the door is shut, causing at least road noise, maybe a draft and at worst allowing car wash water in. I can press it back in place but it doesn't stay. The dealer declared that it's defective (no pinch in the spring) and is ordering a new one.

This isn't a big deal and it's not a hybrid thing, but it's odd because I had an Escape rental car on a buiness trip last fall with the exact same issue on the same door.

Funny you metion this, I too have that exact same problem, in the same location, right hand side back door. I have not taken it to the dealer since its not much to hinge it back on . I have a FEH 06.

We just got a 07 FWD. I will have to take a look and watch out for it. Thanks.

Thanks el rico, I thought I couldn't be alone. Does yours come off around the curve of the wheel arch?

EDIT A quick google found this link (scroll down to the last review) going back to 2002MY:

Head to your local auto parts store. There is a 3M product with the right name.....like "Weatherstrip Adhesive" or something. Once you see it, you will always call it by its given name, gorilla snot.

It is meant specifically to hold weatherstripping in place.....doesn't dry out (like the organic gorilla snot), doesn't get hard, and stays on painted or waxed surfaces just fine, and will keep it there for -ev - er.

Thanks for the tip Andy, but this has been a problem since I got the car new, I expect Ford to fix it, not to have to do it myself.
