2006 Civic Hybrid low mgp problem

I bought our civic used in April. Drove it from Tampa, FL to Delaware and averages 50.4 mpg for the trip. since then though havent gotten anywhere near close. Average now around town is only about 32.5 mpg. Im not impressed. Any suggestions? We have it in for normal service and Honda is telling us nothing is wrong.

My guess is that the current mpg is lower because you are doing a different type of driving (around town as opposed to the highway run), and the temperatures have been colder up north during the winter as opposed to when you drove from Tampa to DE. Have you done any long highway trips lately to get a measurement of how the mpgs are doing currently? It might be worth the time to fill up the tank and take a longer trip on the highway and see what what the car's getting under those conditions. Also, check your tire pressures, as they are prone to decrease in cold weather.
