2009 escalade hid headlight?
I don't know if anybody owns an escalade hybrid in this forum except hillbilly hybrid. But I replaced one of my hid using oem gm part and the light looks white instead of the blue tinge on the other light? Normal? Before the light went bust, it turned into a pink hue and after a long trip quit working. Any
The gm part number is 25735604

It's normal for all HID bulbs, to color shift over time and usage ... high quality oem bulbs will do so slower but they will do it.
Thus when swapping HID bulbs it is always recommended to swap both even if only one has stopped working so as to retain symmetric K and output.

Btw evois, you have two types of color shifts going on at the same time.
- The older bulb/capsule that is shifting due to usage, which it will continue to do going higher in Kelvin rating (bluer then pink then death).
- The new bulb/capsule, which as all HID bulbs/capsules (especially oem ones) takes 15-20hrs of 'break in' usage before they settle at their oem rated 4300K.
So yes, get another bulb.

Btw, if you hadn't already bought one bulb I would have recommended these: http://www.theretrofitsource.com/pro...ducts_id=17166
They are the newest version of Osram's oem bulbs that many European manufacturers are now using on their high end vehicles becaue they generate more lumens. They do however illuminate at 5000K which has a slightly bluer tinge than the regular Osram Xenarc bulbs GM is using.

well, I did not know that and just bought oem which was $200+ a pop for the AC/delco brand. After searching, it looks like Phillips and sylvana have their own version of the D1S hid bulb at half the price and for a pair of this bulb. Replacing it is already a pita but it looks the same. Any inputs? Btw, like everyone says, I will buy the other oem for now to match the other. Thanks for all the responses.

Hi evois,
I believe what is termed AC Delco is simply an Osram Xenarc D1S bulb like this one: http://www.amazon.com/ACDelco-257356.../dp/B000K05TZQ
AC Delco themselves, to my knowledge, do not manufacture HID bulbs/ballasts.
Also as you can see you can find them cheaper than the dealer on Amazon and other reputable vendors.
The CBI bulbs I linked a couple of posts above this one, are $200 a pair ... that's also pretty expensive but there are but a few US vendor that are importing them.
At the end of the day, any Philips, Hella, or Osram/Sylvania D1S bulb is going to be what you need for your application ... steer clear of other cheaper manufacturers for their quality control is sub par and can damage many components.
Btw, who is this 'everyone?' ... I'm the only one answering here. lol

Btw, Osram and Sylvania are part of the same company dba Sylvania in some countries like the US and Osram in other countries.
Their manufacturing locations also often differ.
