So I took it to the dealer and figure that was causing the jolt chug and shuddering problem and the problem is still there after they found that the number 4 intake lifter failed. I brought it back to the dealer after one day of driving and it started to jolt again. They said they could not do anything until it threw a check engine so I called GM and gave them a piece of my mind and I should be expecting a call from their manager within 24hrs to resolve this problem. So 100k I might not get there or sell this thing before then if the problem cannot be solved.

Still having problems with the transmission. I am sure it is the transmission. Most problems are when it is cold. It slips at highway speed, clunks back and forth between gears at low speed (can't figure out if it wants battery or gas, can't pick a gear), bad feel to braking as the regen converts to friction. This has all occurred at increasing frequency. When it has been sitting a while and you start it, it coughs and then the tranny won't go into gear for a few seconds. MPG is down, likely due to transmission inefficiency.

I took it to the local GMC dealer (no convenient Chevy dealers) and he actually said to me "you only bring it to me with big problems." Like I'm bringing it in for oil changes??

Anyway, they said no codes, no cure.

I'm bringing it to a good independent. If he finds it relating to the transmission, I'm going to have an unpleasant conversation with regional GM. Friends are all saying to sell it before it blows up. Might be good advice.

Don't quite have 100K miles-got 86K. Had what sounded like your symptoms at 62K and they installed a new (rebuilt?) engine with no hassle. Don't know if you are still in warranty. I would tell the Chevy dealer after his statement that thats kinda what they are here for--unless they don't need their job.

My 2008 Tahoe Hybrid currently has 183K. The hybrid battery pack has been replaced once in the past. The DVD nav is a little wonky but works fine with the 2011 disk. The rear defroster doesn't work but that’s from the previous owner snagging and breaking the wire that connects to the heating element onthe window (still haven't figured out how to fix that without paying for a new window.......). So really minor and expected issues overall.

Other than that it has received only regular maintenance and drives very moothly. I drove it about 600 miles last weekend and averaged 23 on the highway. Around town I've been averaging 21 if I am careful or about 20.1 if I'm not.

I read about soldering the wire that connects to the rear glass fixes that. If you're not sure, have it done professionally.

I have heard of soldering before and it sounds like the least expensive way to go.

The previous owner had it done. They got the battery for $1500 and installation was $500.
