Thanks for coming back and letting us know. I was sure hoping that you had a secret source for a cheap new engine......... I may give my local "Cooters Garage" a shot at rebuilding this old tired engine soon. It is pouring oil out of the rear main seal and occasionally rolls out some nasty blue smoke (makes those guys get off your back bumper though Hahahah) / fouls the #1 spark plug regularly. Just nursing her along right now. At 13 years old with +265k and some dents / other issues the old HO is about past her prime here LOL.

Rebuilding is good but also replace the pistons and rings. I just replaced the heads with new ones and the pressure build up led to oil consumption at 275,000 miles. At 295,000 miles the engine just gave up. This on a regular non hybrid engine btw. The hybrid should get more miles since it's only working half the time.
