Yukon Hybrid Transmission HELP Needed
Yesterday I mistakenly drained my transmission fluid and I have NO idea what the tranny fluid capacity is. :omg:
I cannot measure what came out and the manual lists multiple transmission with multiple capacities. It's a 2008 Yukon can anyone help? |
Re: Yukon Hybrid Transmission HELP Needed
I am not sure either, but I would put in 5 quarts and work your way to up 7. Checking as you go....

Re: Yukon Hybrid Transmission HELP Needed
Onstar said 10 qts...that has put me slightly over when checking hot an cold.
What an inexact science. Any other thoughts. |
Re: Yukon Hybrid Transmission HELP Needed
The Hybrid has a 2ML 70 Transmission. The info below is directly from the GM Dealer service guide. It looks like 10.5 Quarts is appropriate for what you did. Remember that not all of the fluid will drain with removal of the plug so if you put 10 quarts in you probably are slightly over. Also, be sure to use the GM fluid.
2ML 70 Drop Drain Plug Only- Approximate Capacity 9.93 liters 10.5 quarts 2ML 70 Drop Pan and Filter - Approximate Capacity 10.88 liters 11.5 quarts 2ML 70 Dry Transmission (Empty) - Approximate Capacity 12.30 liters 13 quarts |
