2007 Navi code problems
 

Hi everyone,
Just bought a 2007 HCH wednesday but i've been lurking here reading up for a few weeks.
The navigation/radio worked fine until today. When my wife started it up to drive home from work, it asked her to enter a code. She didnt know the code or where to find the code, so she decided to enter random numbers (yeah i know). After she did it three times, I guess it locked her out. Now when you start the car it flashes the code screen for an instant then goes black.
I have the code from that card in the glovebox, I just need to know what I can do to get back to that logon screen. Do i disconnect the battery for it to reset? eject the DVD? I'm at a loss.
I'm not sure why it asked for this code in the first place after being fine for 3 days.

Try removing radio fuse for 5 mins. Then try again.

thanks for your response. as far as i can tell, it was a loose terminal on the 12v battery, probably a brief interruption in 12v power when the car was off, then when my wife tried to enter the code too many times, she locked herself out of it.
i disconnected the terminal, cleaned it, tightened it back up, the code screen came back, i entered the right one and its back to normal
