Any HCH II's have flaky cruise control?

Dealer unable...scratch that, unwilling to track down intermittant cruise problem. 50% of the time it won't set; 1ce I hit a big bump whilst set and it 'canceled' itself. So I never know if/when it will work. Annoying since I'm in sales & do lots o' hwy driving. Anyone else experience this?

Are you sure the toggle Cruise button and green dash light are engaged?

I keep my Cruise ON all the time and then Set it as needed. I find it mostly flaky from the weak engine. I often set it at 60 and find myself at 59 for a long time. Then if I accelerate by 1, in short time, I am at 61mph. I now just set it around desired speed and leave it alone.

Write off the "bump" as a fluke.

When I had the negative camber fixed the cruise control didn't work. I took it back and they adjusted the cruise control and it was fine. It took them 2 minutes so its very simple.

cruise will drop out if the brake light switch isnt adjusted properly, check it by just touching the pedal and check if the brake lights come on

What year model HCHII? Have you had the brake light switch recall done? If not, it could be that your switch is contaminated and may soon stop working completely.
