List of Serial Numbers vs Year Models?

Does anyone know of a way I can look up my SN to see where in the year my Civic Hybrid was made? eg. I'd like to know if it is a late 07 or early 07.
Thanks,
GL

I think by serial number, you mean VIN number. Yes, there is a way to see this. I know it was around on this forum somewhere, but I can't seem to find it right now. Maybe someone else knows?

Actually this may help: http://www.hondaclub.com/forum/gener...n-decoder.html

Yeah, I have found a lot of VIN decoders, and understand that the last 6 digits is the SN. I am interested in a Year vs SN tabulation to find where my car was made in the series for that year, early mid or late.
Still looking.

The HCH11 Civic's are all built in Japan at the same factory. H

I don't know the answer to the question, but it seems that the dealers can tell because when I bought my daughter's Civic, the salesman said the warranty would last a certain # of months longer because they could tell the car was produced later in the model year.
Maybe a Honda dealer could figure it out for you.

Edit:
After doing some googling, I found one article that claims there's a label that details the date of production:

http://www.edmunds.com/ownership/dri...4/article.html

In the link, they show a picture of the label on the left, the middle one.

In the example given, the vehicle was made in March 1999.

The vehicles warranty starts the date that it is sold. It is called the "in-service date". The cars warranty ends 3 years from the in-service date or 36k miles, which ever occurs first.

I know the date of production, it is on the door as Gairwyn said. Mine was built in 5/07.
I guess what I want to know is when was the LAST 07 made to give me an idea if my car is an early, mid, or late 07 model. There should be a list of serial numbers somewhere.

What my salesman was explaining to us was regarding the extended warranty we bought for our used certified Honda, and when that expires.

Still have no answer for GordonLightfoot though. If I stumble across any info regarding the serial numbers, I will pass it on.

Hey you guys/gals... this is my reply to any posts here. Hope it isn't my last as seems very friendly and interesting... On the warranty thing, we get 3 years or 90,000 miles here in Scotland with 8 years and 100,00 miles warranty for the power train on our Civic Hybrid. Can't help with the serial number thingy though...
