Satellite view of Honda's Suzuka factory, where HCHII is manufactured

Just in case you were curious, here's a satellite view of Honda's Suzuka factory, where our HCHIIs are produced. The place looks huge, over 1km long.

And, some more information about the factory is below.:shade:

Enjoy!!

Is this the only place that the HCHII's are made? My parents like mine so much that they are thinking about getting one but my dad is a teamster and they "have" to buy cars built in North America. Is he out of luck?

The hybrids are made in the factory in Japan. In Ohio there is a factory that produces regular gas-powered Civics and natural gas-powered Civics.

Hey, I think I see my car down there.

See it in the front parking lot?

Too bad about AccElan01's dad. Sounds like his choices for a quality car are very limited!

It's unfortunate that the domestics have been so slow to introduce fuel efficient cars.

Depends on how "American" the car has to be... I vaguely recall hearing (and it might be bad memory or total fiction) that roughly 70% of an HCHii actually comes from America/Canada (aren't they the 51st state yet?) anyways, with only the IMA and final assembly taking place in Japan.

My sticker on the window said 70% domestic parts content.

LOL reminds me of my wife's grandparents that just bought a new car, they are still in the mindset that "american" cars are made in america; they proudly went to the buick dealer and bought a new car...it was only later that someone pointed out the car was made in canada?

There you go...70% made in America...that should be pretty good for any Teamster. I can't imagine the formerly Big 3 can top that percentage.
