2006 Acura TSX
 

I'll throw in my 2 cents as a former 03 HCH owner (late 2002 thru Apr 2007). I barely creep over the bar here at just over 30 MPG average (over 2 years). My HCH got around 46 using the exact same commute (which is most of my driving). Although, I've been as high as 35 MPG on purely highway trips (measured over 120 miles). It's definitely a highway car for better mileage - city is not so good.

I traded my HCH at 65K miles for a couple reasons - one was spending 2 hrs a day in my car and it was lacking the kinds of features that make that kind of time bearable (for me). The other was needing to own it another 10 years from that point, and I didn't want the hassle of the battery replacement (which looks like is a bit of a problem).

I absolutely love my TSX - even after two years I truly look forward to getting into it every day. Although, I would like to return to a hybrid or EV, but I'm going to be holding out a while (probably for those 8 years). But imagine what will be on the market in 2017. :)
