My IMA light just came on a couple of weeks ago, must be a trend. Local dealership upgraded the software for free. (Herb Chambers Honda in Boston)

Got mine fixed today, and the only thing they can charge you for is to see if that is the problem if the car got less then 80,000 miles and less then 8 years old.It cost me $80.00 plus tax for them to see what the problem was.Good luck everyone with your hybrids.Greg.

My dealership waives the diagnostic fee if the problem they find is under warranty. If they find a warranty issue, such as the need to update the IMA software before 8/80,000, then the diagnosis is also covered under warranty. In other words, they just charge the fee to Honda. I'm surprised that they would charge you for that instead...
