CompactFlash SIZED Card XM Tuner $30-$40
I have no idea if this will work on HCH II, but if it does, it could be worth waiting for.
http://blogs.ocregister.com/gadgetress/ 6/1/2006 XM Satellite Radio A handful of new portable devices can be tested at XM Radio's exhibit. http://blogs.ocregister.com/gadgetre...nerchipsml.jpgComing out later this summer, an easy way to tune into XM. Rather than the bulky tuners, XM will sell a "tuner chip" about the size of a CompactFlash card for $30. This will give any of your XM-ready products - a car stereo, home stereo system, standalone XM box - the XM service. You'll also need the home kit, which is a docking station and cord to plug into the audio product. That will cost another $30 or $40. Expect this later this summer. |

I know Tamara through work (we've presented our products to her before). I will try to e-mail her and see if she can give me some contacts at XM to get more details...

Does anybody else here know more about this?

Re: CompactFlash Card XM Tuner $30-$40
The title of this thread is a bit misleading. Isn't it an XM tuner the size of a CompactFlash Card and not a CompactFlash Card XM Tuner? Will it fit into a CompactFlash Card slot?

Re: CompactFlash Card XM Tuner $30-$40
You're probably right. I was reading alot about SD add-ons for cameras to integrate-in wi-fi and probably filed this under that. Oh well, at least it will be less obtrusive, though I am now a bit baffled as to how you can tune it without a display of some kind. Any ideas?
