Now that it's been 5y since the OP -- any long-term reports on how that Valvoline fluid worked out for you, over the Honda fluid?

Particularly curious since the only data-based argument against it seemed to be from a tranny fluid manufacturer that said their Honda fluid shouldn't be used with other transmissions... but funny enough, that same manufacturer sold (and sells) a multi-spec fluid that they say *can* be used with Honda CVTs: https://hi-tecoils.com.au/wp-content...b20.pdf?x11193 "A doesn't work with B" doesn't mean "B doesn't work with A."

So, curious to hear about real-world long-term experience.
