No, not yet. But it's always been my favorite car. I plan on converting one to an EV someday.

HF... I swear if you mastered stick shift in this car, you mastered it in all cars. The tall gear made you work hard especially on hills. I always wanted the si though.

At I70 and I470 in western Denver, the next twenty miles west is very steep. I had to downshift to 3rd managing only 50mph in my 88 CRX HF. The Insight could do 65 without killing itself.

1st gear was really 1.5 gear - very hard not to lug from a standstill.

Still lamenting the loss of my Si. It was totaled when I was rear-ended stopping fast to avoid hitting a cat the same day I put on cross-drilled rotors and high-performance pads.

Just curious, what motivated this poll?

The last three cars I've driven since 1985 are practically the same:
  • 1986 CRX HF
  • 1988 CRX HF
  • 2000 5-speed Insight
stevenvillatoro, The HF version of your late Si with aluminum body and hybrid power plant is for all intents and purposes an Insight. My two CRX's demise were from rear-end collisions, although the first was nowhere near totaled - just wanted to get a new car.

That's funny my CRX HF was also rear ended by a lady who dropped her lit cigarette and went to pick it off the floor without noticing the line of cars at a stop light. I think she hit me going at around 30mph... I hit a big Cadillac in front of me who hit another car in front of it which touched (no damage) the first car at the light. The car was crushed from both sides but still manage to drive. I can clearly remember my friend's glasses coming off his head impacting my windshield with a loud pop and then our seatbelts digging into our chest. I was sore the next day while my friend was perfectly fine… until the following day. He couldn't move.

This toy is the reason I have always loved the CRX, I had this when I was little.
