3 year old HCH owner

Hi,

Found you guys by searching the web with Google. I have been driving my hybrid for 3 years now and always had about 40 - 50 MPG, sometimes over 50. After reading some of the thoughts of the others on this site i have increased my base MPG to about 62. I find this website a great resource for questions and answers.

Now a little about myself:

I am 34 and I live in Southern California. I drive 45 miles one way to work, yes all the way to LA. I own a 2003 Civic Hybrid CVT (EULA). I own a data logger for my car so i can review differant stats over the pierod of my trip. This device is called a CarChip E/X and can hold over 650 hours of data and only costs about $125. was totally worth it. the do have a cheaper version of this avaliable as well for a little less.

Glad to meet this community and share my experiances with all of you.

Welcome!

With mileage like that you qualify as a fairly accomplished hyper-miler. I also just joined this site and would be interested to know what tricks were the most beneficial for you.

Re: 3 year old HCH owner

Welcome to the forum. I've had my HCH for only 4.5 months, and with summer in Texas here, am getting 39-40 mpg with AC running all the time. Looking forward to 2 years from now when I hopefully can get the mileage you are. :shade:
