I keep hoping the Toyota will reintroduce the Supra with a hybrid power plant. I would love to see them bring something out to compete with the Z cars from Nissan, but with a hybrid option.

If you have to ask, you shouldn't have one. <grins>

This would be a fine, pocket rocket with an amazingly smooth, low noise ride. Literally, you should just hear the 'swish.' Best of all, you'll shutdown just about every street 'noise maker' around without effort!!!

When folks begin to realize that NOISE != POWER, it will again be safe to cruise with the windows down and not have to roll up the windows for the NOISE makers.

Yeah, I have never how many people prefer their car to be noisier just for aesthetic reasons, without any power gain. In some cases that makes sense, if you are giving up power in order to supress noise, such as an overly restrictive exhaust, but in general, noise is just wasted energy not producing useful torque. I would always prefer my cars to be as quiet as possible, so I can listen to music at a reasonable volume.

A lightweight, low-profile streamlined car with 400+ horsepower should perform exceptionally well, especially considering there is no power gap due to shifting, and a large portion of that horsepower comes from electric motors (tons of low end torque). If they position batteries and motors etc low to the ground they can also optimize the center of gravity for better handling.
