    Hi jmacomber;

    I apologize for the tardy response, but sadly, I no longer frequent this site (Greenhybrid). The local management abjects to knowledge base links and articles hosted in other sites (namely CleanMPG.com) and they have made it nearly impossible for me to provide the level of support and advice that the community needs.

    I am now also a moderator at www.cleanMPG.com and everyone is welcome as they impose no such limits on hybrid owners and their support staff.

    Please feel free to register at CleanMPG and ask your question again at that forum. I will not answer promptly but you'll see that the caliber and depth of knowledge is much higher and helpful.

    Cheers

    At 122,000 miles my 2005 Honda civic Hybrid (manual) just had a new battery replaced and (both??) catalytic converters replaced (as well as other things). The problem is that even with all that work the EMI charge NEVER goes above the half way point. I try to maximize the charge my coasting and down shifting and spend more time on charge than assist....yet the dang thing never gets above the half way charge mark. Could it be something with the voltage system? Is there are carborator involved in there somewhere? Any ideas what I should ask the mechanic to check?
