NAH - Battery Voltage Meter
My Altima is a 2009. In the almost one year of ownership, I have never seen the EV battery indicator read above 3/4 percent full. I have seen it almost on empty. No amout of coasting, breaking, or slow driving will get that meter above 3/4 percent full. Is this typical? Seems we are lossing out on some extended EV miles because we always start out at 75% battery capacity before the engine needs to kick in to charge things back up.

Re: NAH - Battery Voltage Meter
If I coast down a long, steep hill, I get it to probably 90% full. If I brake at the bottom, it's nearly pegged full.

Re: NAH - Battery Voltage Meter
+1. it won't go over 75% under normal conditions, but braking down hills, slowing down on the highway for tolls, it'll go above that but you use up the extra charge really quickly

Re: NAH - Battery Voltage Meter
Not too many hills around where I usually drive so not sure I can push this to read higher than 75% before it starts getting used up again. Maybe that's my normal.......thanks.

Re: NAH - Battery Voltage Meter
it is normal. doesn't make a lot of sense for the engine to charge the battery to 100%, else you would never be able to recapture braking energy
