Noisy electric motor 2007 NAH
 

Hi,

I have a 2007 NAH with 40000, I thought the electric motor makes too much noise recently (around 3 months) - I'm sure the ICE was not running - when I do my "ear test".

Does anyone feel the same way about the noise from the electric motor?

Does the electric motor require any "scheduled" maintenance?

At 30k plus so far and occassionally I think that the ca is louder when in electric mode than usual, but after taking note, I realise many times its because of the roadway surface changes that I notice the noise. Not to down play the possibility of any issues with your electric motor, just my own observations so far. But otherwsie, no issues with the electric motor on my part so far (fingers crossed)

The noise was not caused by the electric motor, it was a bad wheel bearing (front, driver side), I had it replaced yesterday for around $145 part + $120 labor.
