Range meter not even close
Any one know how the range meter calculates. The range meter said I had ~40 miles to empty, but when I filled it up I still had ~2.7 gallons left which should have yielded ~108 miles to empty based on the 39.9 mpg of the display.

All manufacturers build in a safety margin to help you not cut it too close. Even without a range computer, just about every vehicle's gas gauge will show as dead empty even though there really is a gallon or more on reserve.

Re: Range meter not even close
I read from another thread, a guy with NAH filled his gas tank about 22 gallons. I do not know how he made it. It looks to me that my NAH at 550 mile, the range meter is already out of range. Should I believe my gas tank and MPG calculated by trip computer and wait till 700 miles to fill another tank of gas? My trip computer reads 36.2 MPG and 36.8 MPH.
