No.10 - Toyota Prius The world's first production hybrid car lost money, but proved a point. It showed Toyota was totally committed to new-technology powertrains, with a plan to build one million a year by 2010 and will go down in history as a benchmark car. |

No.8 - Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost One of the benchmark cars in the history of motoring, as it was so luxurious at a time when most cars were so basic. Rolls-Royce still has a pre-1920s model as its flagship car and it still says everything about the brand. No.41 - The Batmobile A dream car for generations of youngsters, but the best of the best is the car from the television show not the outrageous movie caricatures. But no KITT? I'm disapointed now. :omg: |

5 Holdens?, this guy must be Aussie.
No mention of the 1934 Chrysler Airflow, aerodynamics ahead of it's time, with a striking resemblance to the #3 VW. http://www.mafianetwork.it/mafia/imm...flow_tudor.jpg |

Hmmm...
I'd have thought of a few cars that should have made the list: -- 1976 olive green Ford Pinto: Who wouldn't want to drive a hopelessly ugly car that blows up when hit from behind in a 5 MPH fender bender. -- Gremlin: Proof that a car can be so nerdy that it actually becomes cool. -- Chevy Chevette: Only because I owned one and it made it to 225,000 miles before it gave up the ghost! -- The KITT Trans AM should have been on the list because the car was a better actor than the driver. And what car owner wouldn't want a Cylon eye adorning the hood of their car? -- The RAV EV: It was a somewhat more practical experiment that, like the EV1, was ended too soon. |
