Re: Engine block heater install question

2009 has different software than the 2005-2008 models. I'm not sure if the hybrid battery heater component remained installed in the battery packs. The connection might be missing. I would like...

Re: 2008 FEH AWD Traction Battery Discharge When Unused In Cold Weather

The FEH is designed to maintain a SOC around 53%. MG2 (via regenerative braking) will build SOC beyond this level but the vehicle will attempt to burn it off. This is all done in the name of...

Re: A Fill Up over 15 Gallons?

I have gotten just over 14 gallons. There has only been one poster that stated it was possible to do what you did if the vehicle was on a lateral slope.

Re: MECS Pump Replacement

The easiest way to change the MECS pump is to "clamp-off" the hoses and just change the pump. Then reattach the hoses. I'm not sure why the one would want to purge the system unless they had 5...

Re: EV Mode Question

Your statements on the SOC are "odd". The vehicle is designed to "hold" 53% SOC. This is not temperature dependent. EV usage will drop SOC and when it hits 40%, the ICE fires up to rebuild SOC....
