Re: Looking for recommendations on battery pack replacement

Put my new Bumblebee battery pack in this weekend. Surprisingly easy to install. It didn't come with any directions, but I found a YouTube video that walked me through it. There was a black ground...

Battery "bounce back" after discharge during "refurbish" cycle.

When I use my Hybrid Automotive automatic battery discharger (not the light bulb type) I don't always stay right on top of the discharge. If the discharger interfaced with an app that would be really...

I could use some recommendations. 2006 HCH-II, original owner, 117,000 mi, almost exclusive city driving with lots of stoplights. I've been refurbishing the battery pack for about 3 years now with...

[QUOTE=S Keith;263249]Not sure what you're doing. You should check it in accordance with the instructions in the owner's manual.

Re: 2007 Civic Hybrid CVT Fluid Change Flush DIY Very Easy Applies to 2006-2011

Thanks for this post, all. So, can someone help me with exactly how much transmission fluid the HCHII is supposed to take? The owner's manual clearly states the capacity is 3.0 US quarts. When I...

Re: How to bypass HCH-II high voltage battery

Sorry, I don't know how. But I'm interested in why you want to do it. The car would be horribly underpowered without the battery pack.

Re: ima battery replacement

Lugee,
Any chance you could share the source? A less expensive source would be music to one's ears if faced with a replacement.
Thanks.

Re: Experience with window visors?

Congratulations! They should give you years of good service. My parking lot at work is pretty secure, so I have no qualms about cracking the windows in the summer and not worrying about the rain...

Re: Experience with window visors?

I have the in-channels also. They work okay. You have to be sure to get the fronts in the channel properly, or the windows won't go up all the way every time. Once seated properly, mine work well....

Re: Battery crash / no regen braking??

Two thoughts from Mr. Kite's post. First, since temperature is one of the variables, that puts even more credibility in the theory that a corroded wire on the battery temp sensor is the problem.

Re: Battery crash / no regen braking??

Well, after making the comment that this had never happened to me, it happened on my way home from work. '06, 22,330 miles. 81 deg. F ambient temp. I had just climbed a long, steep hill. SOC was...

Re: Poll: What's your best tank?

Jess, the mpg was on display was 63.8 as I recall. As Kite says, you have to work at it and be very careful where you drive and how you drive.

I used some instructions I found in the HiHy...

Re: Battery crash / no regen braking??

This has never happened to me, but I rarely see 100 degree temps. The fact that some have seen it when it is cool is disturbing. This doesn't sound like it has anything to do with calibration. That...

Re: Poll: What's your best tank?

I just hit 854 miles, then chickened out and filled the tank. I had been driving for about 75 miles after losing the last bar, and didn't want to run out of gas. When I started this tank (back on...

Thanks, Mpress. This did something, but didn't reset the maintenance reminder. I think they must have changed something from '06 to '08. Really appreciate the info, though - it put me on the right...

Re: Regen lights vs. brakes

Downshifting to "S" is another option, but do it once you've slowed down some. This will decelerate the car without applying the brakes. You'll need to play with it some to find the best time to...

Re: Defective Block Heater???

Steve,
It depends on ambient temperature. I plug mine in on a timer for about 3 hours before going to work. If it's below freezing I won't see any indication of warmth on the temp gauge. But when...
