Re: CNBC Video discussing hybrids

Wow that is horrible reporting... 5 minutes of vague statements without being able to back them up. I don't believe for a minute that Toyota is not making money on the Prius. They have taken that...

Re: Aftermarket GPS problems

I have an '07 TCH - I used my Garmin Nuvi 350 for over a year with no problems getting Sats. I recently upgraded to a Garmin Nuvi 755T and continue to have no problems getting the Satellites.

Re: epa rating of 20/22 mpg!

but isn't this typical of the american car makers...

Customer won't buy what we make, so we'll stop making what they'll buy.

gotta love it!

I find my MFD to be about 2.5% high.b

Re: Poll...what would you do?

I would take the 18 mile local road trip. I can't believe that a TCH would only get 30MPG there, that's its sweet zone! ;)

However, I would not drive further, just to have better FE, unless the...

Re: Heretical mode (moved from Proposed tweaks to the FAQ (setting up for 2.3) )

I think that is an excellent idea. Having a newbie FAQ and and Advanced FAQ (or something) make a lot of sense. Most folks won't really care about forcing Heretical mode, but I for one...

Re: portable GPS does not work in my TCH

I have a Garmin Nuvi 350 and have had no problems at all. As stated earlier, I always start the Nuvi and let it find the sats prior to starting the TCH and driving away. This normally only takes a...

Re: Happy with your Camry Hybrid?

I love my 2007 TCH, best car I have ever owned. Its now just over 1 year old and has over 18,000 miles. The lifetime MPG is 40.3 (see my sig). My commute is mostly local highway, 22 miles each way....

Re: Mileage Database Features - Submit your ideas

I too would like the ability to import data. I've already the data into my private spreadsheet, it would be nice to be able to just import the new data.

I've never like the scale use for the...

Re: My Best MPG

Nice job rburt --- looks like you'd have an easy 800 mi tank if you weren't "forced" to fill it up :-) - Seems like a waste to fill it when you easily can go another 200... keep up the good work.

Re: Aftermarket GPS

I love my Garmin Nuvi 350 (there are new models now). It speaks the turns which I find very helpful as you can't always be looking at the GPS screen as turns approach.

Re: What is the dumbest part of the TCH?

I voted other. I think the graph on the MFD is the dumbest part. This car's original EPA was 38MPG (old numbers), yet the graph ends at 40? That was just dumb! 45 or even better 50 would be more...

Re: 700 Mile Tank Club

I'm glad to say I joined the club a few weeks back. We had just about perfect weather and I had very very few short trips during the 2 weeks on the tank. Ended up going 702.6 and then put 15.390...

Re: Who has stripped their TCH?

Seems extreme to me... If you don't want the luxury/space of the TCH why not just buy a Prius and improve your milage that way???

Re: How long is your regular daily commute

22 miles each way for me - just about the perfect distance for the TCH :D

Re: Mileage...generally speaking

I've been leaving the heat off for about 2 miles until I get to the interstate in the mornings. I've found turning it on before that
1 - does give much heat until about 1.5 miles
2 - significantly...

Re: [gas pedal] Whole foot or just toes?

Heel on the floor and upper foot on the pedal. Have always driven that way and it would feel very uncomfortable to have my entire foot on the pedal.

Re: REMOTE START -- Toyota vs. Other

Right now my tank is sitting at 39.9 on the MFD, which last month would have been around 43. (calculated MPG is less - around 41). I'm hoping to nudge the MFD up over 40 before I fill up (only about...

Re: REMOTE START -- Toyota vs. Other

Mike - I wish you could :) . The remote start was not on my list of must have options, but the car on the lot had it installed so I ended up with it. It should help the resale value - not that I'm...

Re: REMOTE START -- Toyota vs. Other

Oh it works fine (I did test it) and I'm in NY was it sure gets cold. But car is in garage and I have never "warmed up" a car. And now with a hybrid I'd feel even worse about wasting all that gas...

Re: REMOTE START -- Toyota vs. Other

My TCH has remote start (never use it). The remote start is part of the smart key fob. You push and hold the buttons in the right combination and it starts up.
