Re: Failed IMA Battery Owners!

Yes, it's a manual. It was a generic pack of 10K Ohm NTC thermistors off amazon, no specified manufacturer. I could link, but it would be dead in a month. The only thing of importance here is that...

Re: Failed IMA Battery Owners!

It ended up being one of the NTC thermistors. I replaced it with a generic amazon 10k piece and cleared the codes. So far, so good. It's crazy the difference that a strong battery can make. It's...

Re: Failed IMA Battery Owners!

I did unhook the 12V batt, codes/IMA light/CEL reappeared immediately. I cleared codes again, but they came right back. 12V battery is 5-6 months old and seems to be fine. My original sticks and...

Re: Failed IMA Battery Owners!

I ended up getting a used set of 20 sticks off of ebay for $80 shipped. I was quite happy with that deal. I tested all 40 five times to try and get repeatable results. I'm pretty satisfied with...

Re: Failed IMA Battery Owners!

I've been scouring craigslist and ebay looking for a used battery, but all of them are outrageously high. I looked on alibaba and you can buy new chinese made sticks with the same ends and specs...

Re: HCH CVT to 6 speed swap?

From what I can tell online, the 5 speed from the plain Jane civic is the same as our hybrid's 5 speed. If you're asking about swapping in an Si spec unit, good luck, those will be pricey if you can...

Re: considering buying a 2004 honda civic hybrid need guidance

I would pass if it's equipped with a CVT. At that mileage, the battery will be due for replacement/rebuild if it hasn't been done yet. If your 140-160 miles per day commute is mostly highway, a TDI...

Re: adjustable camber arms for the rear

I'm bringing this thread back for an update. Both the chassis side bushings have split on the skunk2 adjustable rear upper control arms and are causing a clunk. I'm currently trying to get...

Re: Replacing a Stolen Spoiler off a 2007 Honda Civic Hybrid

So, you have four options...
1) leave it off and plug the holes
2) pay 500 for the correct part
3) plug the holes and drill new ones for the cheapo spoiler
4) go to a junkyard and find what you...

Re: NGK Iridion or Denso Platinum?

My 04 came with iridiums. High compression and boosted engines usually see a HP improvement switching to iridiums. Our engines have huge compression considering they run on 87 octane.

Re: Anyone self-install their EGR valve?

I know there exists a code in OBD2 for insufficient EGR flow, I don't remember the number. Is anyone getting this code or just diagnosing based on symptoms? Does anyone know what the non-CA...

Re: Buying a 2003 HCH (need help quick!)

I was going to say offer them 5-6k. Offer them 1.5k and you might just get your a$$ kicked.

Re: Braking makes funny noise

Throw a new rotor on it or take the rotor to a shop like Carquest and have them machine it.

Re: HCH1 suspension

There's tons of aftermarket parts out there that will work on your civic. I used rear upper control arms that were supposed to be for an SI, they fit perfect, as will any aftermarket quality...
