Re: Routing wires through the firewall

I meant the left side. The wire's going to go up the left side all the way to the battery.

Re: Routing wires through the firewall

Yeah I was just joking.. I would have had a hard time with a spade bit.

I found a pretty good place along the right side behind the back seat. Thanks for the tip with the wheel well. I had a hard...

Routing wires through the firewall

I'm installing a small powered subwoofer in the trunk of my 2007 HCH.

I got as far as routing the wires through the back seat. (1" spade bit through the IMA battery)

Now I'm trying to figure...

Re: Serious Stereo System: OK to install?

John,
Did you end up putting dynamat in your car?
I'm thinking about doing the same, the road noise is deafening in this car.

Thumbs down Rear-ended on the highway!

I was driving home from work and I got rear-ended while stopped in traffic on Rte 95 around Boston. My car was the first to get hit, which was forced to crash into the car in front of me, and then...

Re: HCH Class Action Lawsuit?

Yes I'm disappointed with the MPG. I read a lot of crap on here about how people get 50+ MPG then I buy the car and I can't get over 38 (average over last 6k miles.) I even had to pump up my tires by...

Re: HCH Class Action Lawsuit?

I just received it. It looks fully legitimate to me, and I intend to submit a claim.

Re: Full size spare?

Just got my new tires yesterday, snow storm today. They're better in snow than the OEM tires ever were. Less expensive than replacing them with the OEMs too - General Altimax HP

They have...

Full size spare?

I did a search and only found one person say that the spare tire well won't fit a full size tire - does anyone know if this is true or false? The plastic piece that holds the donut down has one side...

Re: Brake job

well, I've put 25k miles on it, they feel a little weak, and I thought I heard them squeek a couple times recently. Seems like it needs new brake pads... maybe not though.

Thanks for the info....

Brake job

I was roughly told $250 to do the front brakes on my HCHII.. this is ridiculous - I've done the brakes on my '99 Cavalier in the past for about $50 or less in parts.

What tools do I need to do...

Re: Watch out for older design HID lamps

Normal headlights draw more than that at the instant you turn them on. A 10A fuse, unless it is a fast-blow type, will take 15A for a few seconds before blowing. I am almost certain that it would not...

Re: 2007 HCH Road Noise

While it's true that Honda isn't going to advertise service bulletins, it's the dealer's job to tell you accurately if your car needs something when you take it in. And they shouldn't give you the...

Re: 2007 HCH Road Noise

I've never been in a LeCar, but the road noise in my HCH is terrible at highway speeds.

Re: I got a #%&$ Speeding ticket!

This morning I was driving on i95 to work going 69 MPH at the time -
state cop passed me on the left going about 75 -
speed limit is 55

I usually notice that there's a big "hole" forming in...

Exclamation Re: Loud noise at certain speeds... not sure if upper control arms... HCH 06

The wheel bearing shouldn't go on an '06 unless you have >100k miles on it! It's not under warranty? That's making me a bit worried, I have an '07 and it rumbles too but I think it's just the tires...

Re: Rear Drum Brakes

The car has drum brakes on the rear for a couple of reasons:
Disk brakes are more prone to dragging than drum brakes.
You have regenerative braking.
Most of the braking force is needed on the...
