Re: Battery remanufacturers

They use the same batteries as the Insight and Civic Gen 1 IIRC.
So contact one of those suppliers for a set of sticks.

Re: Replaced IMA Battery and car still won't hold a charge

Is the ima light on?
What are the fault codes?
Without those we are shooting in the dark.
Was the replacement a new pack from a reputable vendor or pack from a scrap yard?

Re: 2004 HCH - Bumblee battery, now MPG is plummeting

The o2 sensor fault is nothing to do with the ima battery.

Sort the new fault code issues and the mpg will return to normal.

You have just been unlucky with the timing.

Re: Hybrid battery fan question?

A cheap OBDII reader won't tell you the IMA subcodes so you still need to use the blink method unless you have a very expensive OBD reader.

Eightbreak see my earlier answer.

Re: Hybrid battery fan question?

You need to know the P subcodes to diagnose the issue properly using the blink code method.

Re: 2004 Civic Hybrid Battery finally bad, safe to operate?

Do some searching on insight central.

You basically need 2 x 90v 300ma constant current power supplies in series.

To drive the hch1 fan you need.

1 x 12V 3A Fan driver
1 x pwm output device...

Manually charging the...

Unfortunately that info is not in the public domain.

However I build a gauge specifically for the Insight G1 and HCH1 Hybrids which displays IMA data and allows control over the car Soc ;)

Re: IMA fails in extreme cold?

The IMA Batteries do not like extreme cold.

You would be well advised to get a grid charger to help maintain your recent replacement pack. It also can warm it up a bit when charging overnight.
