I would elect to mount the battery tender inside the engine compartment (they are usually small) and then I would run the cord to the front grille and and leave it there... ready to be plugged in...

Hi Rick;

Unfortunately, you cannot plug a solar panel into the accessories outlet since the outlets are totally disconnected from the 12V system as soon as the car is off and the key is removed...

Yes, a slower acceleration rate is the trade-off. And not even a steady and fine tuned foot can always help off-set that either. Using the S mode however can help to a certain extent...

Stay off of the assist, manage you SoC and your FE will be higher, the battery pack will incur a lower...
