Re: DVD Navigation is broken?

Not excusing the workmanship, but I'm willing to wager that this was probably the first Civic unit your technician has installed. It should be an easy enough fix (once the dash comes apart again...

Re: DVD Navigation is broken?

Your suggestion has nothing to do with the factory installed DVD Navigation system...and nothing to do with the problems covered in this thread...

Re: DVD Navigation is broken?

Replacement parts have a balance of factory warranty or 1 yr - 12000 mile warranty, whichever is greater.

JetfireK's message is a head scratcher. I still haven't figured it out...

Re: DVD Navigation is broken?

Long answer:

Honda uses the model year indicator to note the model year of the vehicle that the part was produced for. It's similar to a version number, however if there is a significant change...

Re: Can you identify this? Please Help.

It does look like a push button switch...my guess was the test button on a smoke detector.

Re: DVD Navigation is broken?

This my understanding of honda parts:

39540-SNA-??1ZA is the nav for blue interior
39540-SNA-??1ZB is the nav for taupe interior

?? = model year
A3 = 2008
A2 = 2007
A1 = 2006

Re: DVD Navigation is broken?

I would shoot bullet4 (tony) an email and ask him for some help. Perhaps there's a document or something specific that he can tell you to advise your dealership to check. I would then sit down with...

Re: New Car Headlight On Alert

Do you have the 'deedely dee' chime when you leave the keys in the ignition and open the drivers door? The 'beep beep beep' chime when you leave you seatbelt unfastened?

They all come from the...

Re: DVD Navigation is broken?

Someone posted earlier about a mounting problem on the navigation system that allows the disc to contact an inner surface and ruin the disc. Might be worth digging around to find that thread. The...

Re: HCH '06: Lousy performance when battery is empty

I've been at 0-1 bars in the city before (traffic jams) and there is a big difference in off-the-line performance without assist. It's by no means unsafe. I can't say that I've ever been without...

Re: Paint Repairs

I had a similar thing happen to my front end a month ago...and it turned out to be a $1400 repair as upon further inspection my headlight was cracked. My bumper had to be replaced even though it...

Re: real spare tire in HCHII?

You haven't lived until you have a car that can't accept the flat into the trunk. I've owned several sports cars with that problem. I kept a roll of garbage bags and some bungee cords for such an...

Re: Theft of alloy wheel center caps

I had this problem with my Oldsmobile LSS...it's not just a Honda design, it's pretty much universal. I paid $65/ea on the Olds.

Re: Why am I tailgated so often?

I am sympathetic to those who get tailgated in the far right lane...I get it on a daily basis too.

I do want to add something to the goings on here, and it's not intended to be mean or critical....
