Re: Nav question

Yes, it will read street names, though sometimes the pronunciation is humorous.

Re: For those that had rear control arm replaced...

If you rotate your tires, this defect is hosing them all, not just the 2 on the rear at the time they own up to the control-arm replacement. I'm with Jess here - Honda is not doing the right thing by...

Re: Last GreenHybrid Admin/moderator taking a break.

Yes, thanks Eric for all you've done.

We'll just sail along here, now.
Hopefully the winds will be calm for us.

Re: Goodyear Assurance Fuel Max tires?

Glad to hear it.

Re: For those that had rear control arm replaced...

I agree, Mendel, but I think all manufacturers play this game. That's one reason it's very good to be a part of a forum or two (like this one :)).
Consumers sharing information is our poker hand....

Re: 2008 honda civic hybrid antenna

My Benz has one like that. And it has failed once, too. I have an aftermarket stereo set-up in it now and it's wired to only come up for AM and FM, not for the CD or CD changer. I guess the Kenwood...

Re: 2004 hybrid civic - tire size for 16 inch rims

Glad I was of some help.

I don't think you'll know for sure until you actually try them out. Like I said, the 235/45-17 is supposed to be the perfect +2 size for my Benz, but it would be better...

Re: Is Honda quality slipping? Or is this normal?

I haven't noticed that issue at all. Is it just when getting in/out or is it squeaky during driving?
The window channel thing is a well-known issue by Honda. I think it affects all Civics not just...

Re: TSB 08-014 Harsh Transmission Engagement

I had my car in for a new O2 sensor in March 2009.

They listed ECM/PCM - REPROGRAM as part of the service, and then listed 6 (yes, 6) service bulletin #s (the comments in parens are mine):
05-019...

Re: 2004 hybrid civic - tire size for 16 inch rims

I don't know anything about specifics on the Civic, but...

Spacers is what the tire mechanic was speaking about. These are shims. They move the rims OUT a little bit. These could be necessary to...

Re: VIN and scheduling info

Does the rear seat have a fold-down center arm-rest? The regular Fusion does, and there are 2 cup-holders there. Still, I too noticed none in the rear doors. Would've been easy to do. Oh well.

Re: Fold flat front passenger seat in FFH?

Hey, Alex, is there are dealer near us you know of that HAS a FFH to check out and maybe even test-drive? The couple I've been to have none to look at.

Re: HCHII-Power Steering Problem

I think there have been a few Green Hybrid reports of this problem. Search a little - it might be worthwhile.

Re: For those that had rear control arm replaced...

First, I agree with Bob - lower your tire pressure to no more than 32psi. Don't give them an excuse to deny your issue. Then, take her in and complain of the roaring sound in the back.
And, yes, my...

Re: Odd IMA, CVT behavior + poor FE

They WILL do an alignment after replacing the Control Arms. They almost have to.
They printed off my Before (with old control arms) and After (with new control arms) alignment numbers.

Re: Please Help! Odd sound on my Front Right Side

Just a thought. Have someone check carefully that RF tire to see if a nail or screw is in it (in the tread). It may NOT be causing any air loss, just noise. Happened to me once.

Or possibly a...

Re: Poor MPG on 2009 Honda Civic hybrid

Mendel is spot-on.

This is a very different setup than the Prius, which is the typical hybrid-car thought of - and for good reason - they've sold a million of 'em.

The Prius electric motor IS...

Re: Odd IMA, CVT behavior + poor FE

My MPG DID go down once I switched from the original equipment Dulops to the Michelin Exaltos. But it was not that big of a hit, and I'm fine with the tire choice. They are FAR better handling and...

Re: Front/rear red 'H' emblems – ¡BLING!

Probably not for me, either, but it DOES look pretty good.
And, excellent instructions! Well done.
