Re: CVT fluid color vs. time?

That very light pink is the correct color for fresh Honda CVT transmission fluid.

2004 HCH spoiler wanted

Hi, I am searching for a spoiler for a 2004 Honda Civic hybrid. My car is light blue.

I think the part would be the same for model years 2003-2005.

Thanks for any info anyone may have on this.

Re: Auto Stop not working after clutch replacement

Have you read through the thread on the Insight forum? Same general principles apply for the Civic.

Check here:

Re: -5F + Check engine light + IMA warning light on

I agree with Harold on this one.
Same thing happened to me when the weather got ridiculously cold. My 12V battery was bad. Got a new one, and all is well again.

Don't forget if you do get a new...

Re: A/C problem with Hybrid

Get the error codes read to narrow the problem down.

The AC issue could be due to a bad or disconnected temperature sensor. It sounds like you have a newer generation HCH, but here is a thread...

Re: IMA Problems on my Civic!

If you do a google search by entering "p1570 honda civic hybrid", you should get a page with a few links relating to that specific code.

Re: Replace battery, but no charge

P1569= Battery Cell Temperature Signal Circuit Problem
P1637= Motor Control Module (MCM) Internal Circuit Malfunction

This comes from the '03-04 service manual. For both codes the first thing it...

Re: Is this the regular or IMA battery?

I would put in a new 12V battery, especially if you are still using the original one that came with the car.

Re: 2006 Civic Hybrid Warranty Question

The warranty was extended due to this:

http://www.hchsettlement.com/

and also a previous issue of odometer overstatement where 5% was added on to the mileage portion of the warranty (TSB 06-085)

Re: TPMS- do I have it? 2004 HCH

There is no TPMS on the 2004 HCH.

Not sure how to prove that other than if he makes a call to a Honda service department to ask, read through the owners manual, or look on a Honda parts website...

Re: CEL and IMA on and red light for 12v battery comes on at idle

The service department should be able to read the error codes that would specify what the problem is.

Re: HCH 2007 IMA Battery

I would get quotes from other dealers. Usually the cost comes in around $3000, and that includes labor, tax, and parts delivery.

Re: NOOOO! IMA light came on.

The $2500 quote isn't bad. But you should check into some things first.
Make sure the problem isn't just an old 12V battery. These cars don't like to sit around undriven either, so try to drive it...

Re: IMA light & Check engine light question

I would think you are covered under warranty unless you have a really high number of miles on the car. It depends on which state you live in and how many miles are on the car.

If for some reason...

Re: IMPORTANT INFO! Honda IMA Warranty

Hi Bob,

I *think* even though your car is only an '05 (which by age is not out of the warranty period), you might be out of the warranty period for your car in either of those states of CO or FL...

Re: IMA Battery Warranty Replacement

It seemed to be automatic for my '04. I was all ready to go through the settlement process, but my service adviser looked up info regarding the warranty and Honda had an internal memo regarding the...

Re: HCH Settlement Proceeding

I think in that case, from what I read, they had to wait until the date everything was settled before they could do anything with the paperwork that they'd already received from people. That date if...

Re: HCH Settlement Proceeding

If you received the class action mailing, there were forms included with that. I think you might have to send in the appropriate form for what you want, such as the rebate certificates, etc.
If you...

Re: 2006 Civic Hybrid battery issues

Here is a place located in Portland, OR:

http://www.bumblebeebatteries.com/

I'm not sure if they work on second-generation Honda hybrids, but it couldn't hurt to ask them.

Re: 2003 HCH went in okay, came out dead.

I'm wondering if they turned off the IMA switch (large switch located behind the back seat) as this fellow did:

...except they...

Re: Check Engine Light

I've only heard my car start with the normal starter once; that was when the IMA battery went bad. The starter did its job just fine, even though it had never been used in over 8 years. I'm guessing...

Re: Please help!

Yes you can continue to drive the car with the IMA light on.

I'm not sure how long you can do so. Some folks have driven for a really long time with the light on. It probably varies depending on...
