Default 2008 Camry Hybrid Slightly Leaking Front Driver Side strut

I own a 2008 Camry Hybrid with a slightly leaking front driver side strut. I'm wondering if I could ignore it and not do anything for a few months or years? Please kindly share your thoughts on this. Here is a photo I took:

Not an expert, but my 2008 was leaking (Firestone was begging me to change them for a few years) and my trusted mechanic (1/3 the cost Firestone suggested) told me they should be replaced. Yes, you can get away with leaky struts, but they should be replaced.

Found on the internet
"A leaking strut is either no longer functioning or will stop functioning soon. It is a safety and handling issue. Struts should be replaced by pairs and at 110K miles the best bet would be to do new struts and/or shocks on all 4 wheels.

...The struts job is to keep the tire on the road, especially in corners, and when stopping on uneven pavement. ...."

Replace on condition only. I've had leaky struts for the last 1.25 years, and the car rides and handles fine.

When the ride or handling deteriorate, I will replace them.

My mechanic said you can get in even or poor tire wear, so that's when I decided to get them replaced.

Technically true, but most uneven tire wear is from worn control arm bushings and the other suspension components associated with alignment and not from weak struts.

At this point, the "clunks" heard/felt from bumps and turns give the issue away.
