We have a Garmin Nuvi 350 and it works well in our '08. We usually put it in the large flip door opening under the radio, sits there nicely, it usually takes a couple of minutes to acquire the satallite, after that, all is good. It was definately cheaper than purchasing the Nav in the TCH, and usable in all our vehicles.

I have 760 and the last update added the speed limit on the gps.Download web updater, hook up the garmin to the computer via ups and run web updater and you will get the latest updated software for your unit. This is not a new map program but an update for the one you have.

I finally broke down and bought an external antenna - either Garmin or Gillson work fine. I attached it to the rear trunk lid lip close to the windshield. An inexpensive antenna extension cord is required but it is annoying to have it on the trund. It was quite easy to conceal the wiring through the upholstry and pass through and the space between the windshield and dash. It works perfectly now.

I also phoned Sunpass in Florida - they have problem windshields with no solution, $)& ETR, a pay highway in Ontario - same thing, and Escort radar detector - -same thing. There are no external antennas for highway transponders so I am stuck in line in the dollar lane.

I am thinking that if the windshield accidently chips I may get a new low quality replacement that allows me to do the things I should be able to do in my car.
