Does hybrid battery ever show 100% full?
Just purchased a new TCH with Nav 2 weeks ago. I noticed that the battery pack never charges completely full .... always one line short of full on the energy screen of my Nav. Is this normal? The weather has been real hot lately and the A/C is on alot. Could this be the reason? Thanks in advance for your replies. BTW, my mpg avg is 36 thus far after 400 miles .:)

Florida isn't particularly know for its hills, but it is possible to get all bars on the display by regenerative braking on long downgrades. You might have to travel North a ways to check it out. In any case, it's nothing to worry about. In fact you will get better mileage on the flat anyway.

Re: Does hybrid battery ever show 100% full?
I just got a full battery reading for the first time a few days ago. I was returning from my vacation in PEI, going through the White Mountains on a long downgrade (going west from the Kancamagus pass on route 112 in NH). Also got pretty decent FE (around 5.9 l/100KM) considering all the climbing for the uphill.
