Any thoughts on this? I think most OEM HID's are 35W, correct? Are the 55W kits are the High Beams? or are people using them as the lows?

i dont know whether do you get VVME HID Kit or other brands....

as i know,, the difference between VVME 35W HID and 55w HID lies in:

55w HID kits are 40% brighter than the standard 35w kits.
The 55W system ballasts are about 1 cm longer than the 35W ballasts.
55w kits tend to wash out some of the color of the HID bulb due to the light output( for example, a 55w 8000k will look similar in color to a 35w 6000k kit).

55w Kits are not recommended for smaller fog light housings because they tend to concentrate a large amount of heat in a small area.

so i think VVME 35w 43k hid kit http://www.vvme.com/hid-conversion-kits-c-44.html is better for you cos the 43k is commone white color , not so sharp to others' eyes.....

35W already offers a significantly brighter beam pattern over the standard halogen. A non-projector upgrade to HID will therefore often provide way TOO much light, BLINDING light, to on-coming drivers.

On Ebay you can buy bi-xenon, automatic high/low switching PROJECTOR beam HID modification/upgrade assemblies. I highly recommend you seriously consider those, especially if you want to 55W.

i agree with your first phrase.... anyhow , for which one to choose 35w or 55w depends on their cars and personal favorite....

My not very well stated main point was/is that if you choose 55W it should be the bi-xenon PROJECTOR type in order to have the least blinding effect on the vision of oncoming drivers, get the best and sharpest high level cut-off shading. That capability is NOT available absent the use of a projector lens and its internal solenoid actuated low beam shading apperture.

Yesterday, while it was still light, an oncoming car had such bright headlights that it actually felt painful to glance in that direction.

I'm hoping that he gets hit by an 18 wheeler before some passenger car driver is blinded and creamed by him.

It appeared to be an Escalade when it passed me!

Yes, some are too bright and/or misadjusted. But I doubt you really mean to say that you "hope he gets hit by an 18 wheeler". :omg:

Both 35w and 55wa come with low beam and high beam, but 55w has more power.
