I think my kid totalled my TCH
 

Got a call the other night, Wife picks up phone. Starts screaming "You're kidding". Kid has been in accident with the car.:omg: He was supposed to be just getting gas, but decided to pick up a friend and go for a drive. Runs stop sign, into another car. :confused: No major injuries, just bumps and bruises. There are ripples in the roof of the car. The dash below the Nav system is misaligned backward about 1/4" over the center console. The front end is destroyed. I'm not optimistic. Anyone have any ideas about who (dealers) has a new one in the Southwest? This is going to be a _hassle_ :( I am not looking forward to the next few weeks.

Sorry to hear you son was in an accident...I am glad he and all others are OK. Good luck with the car hassle and the hassle of dealing with your son for blowing through a stop sign.

If they determine it wasn't totaled, if it's low mileage and less than a year old be sure to check your insurance policy for their guidelines on replacement parts.

When my minivan got wrecked it only had 6,000 miles on it and was less than a year old. The supervisor at the repair shop was going to use replacements from a 3rd party supplier or junkyard until my friend who works at the shop (and is why I took it there) pointed out that my insurance policy calls for OEM parts if the vehicle is less than 10K miles or 1 year old.

My teen went to go pick up Chinese food in mine and a woman creamed the side.

She took off like a bat out of hell too......hit and run.

Luckily it was drivable until the body shop fixed it up pretty again.

It really is a great car in impact !
