New Toyota Cabin air filter - Premium Charcoal Filters

1 Attachment(s)
I have a few question about Toyota Cabin air filter.

1. Does anyone try new Toyota Cabin air filter - Premium Charcoal Filter(part#:87139-YZZ10)?
2. Should I replace Cabin air filter every 30,000 miles if I use Premium Charcoal Filter?
Thanks,

Me, I'm cheap...I bought them on eBay for $5.
They were clean and white, my old ones (one year old) were dirty and grey (so, yeah, you can do it more frequently than 30,000).
I don't need surgical cleanliness in my car's cabin, so I don't think it's worth it to pay for a premium filter. Spent 25 years working in NY, so my lungs have been 'battle tested', I frequently drive with the windows open, so if a microbe squeezes through the filter...I'll take my chances.

I like the build on the Fram FreshBreeze CF10139 for my Camry 2007 Hybrid. The filter fits fine and Walmart has them on clearance for 13 dollars. This is not the cheap flimpsy filters. They are rock solid with charcoal activated feature as well as baking soda added in for that clean fresh smell. Found the cabin filters in the auto department in the clearance section. :)

Sorry have not posted in awhile. Nothing wrong with the Camry yet. Knock on wood.

bugs,

It's been a while...... Like you, the Fram, Puralator or a Wix air filter is what I normally use. I would not use a Fram oil filter but their air filters are nice.

Rats, the cabin filter is not on sale for at our walmart. I found them in the green box in the fram air filter section for $17.41. I will wait till I need one but it does look like a good filter.

I just replaced the Wix 24483 Cabin Air Filter for my 2010 Toyota Camry Hybrid. It seems to be good quality.

The reason I like the freebreeze was that it was of the same
build quality as the original air filter in the engine compartment. I was
told by the Walmart automotive guy that Walmart is going to phase out
the freebreeze, so they should be discounted soon everywhere.
