Smart Key System
How do you open the trunk manually in case of an emergency. According to the manual there should be a small key, or trick way?
In the event the battery goes out, the trunk must be opened? Help!!! |
Re: Smart Key System
trunk latch on floor to the left of driver's seat
car door can be opened with auxiliary key in fob (check the manual for instructions) |

Re: Smart Key System
The trunk also can be opened from the auxiliary key

Re: Smart Key System
I saw that now. I assume leaving the car unlocked inside a locked gargage will not affect the smart key. The manual didn't say anything about that.
Thanks |
Re: Smart Key System
Not sure what you're asking. The car being locked or unlocked doesn't have any affect on the key.
The key goes to sleep (to preserve battery life) when it's not in range of a the car (which sends out a signal). Leaving your key within three feet of a fluorescent light or charging device (such as a cell phone) will prevent the key from going to sleep. |
