I read in the forms it was the the 2007 models made in Japan. My 2007 is from the Kentucky plant. I called our local toyota service and they said mine was not on the recall list.

I'm not aware of a recall list for the water pump, is ther one? My wife's TCH is an 07 model made in Japan.

The steering rack was the only recall I can remember on the TCH.

I don't own a hybrid camry. But just wanted to post that my Japanese built 2007 4-cylinder camry needed the water pump changed due to a leak found during a routine oil change. It was bought around April 2006 and has around 41000 miles. It is covered under the powertrain warrenty, so 5 years/60k.

Add mine to the list of water pump leaks. It's a 2007 Japan built Camry Hybrid. 58K miles so just made it under powertrain warranty. I'm sensing a recall.

I asked the service advisor if he's seen other water pumps being replaced and he said several. He said not just Camrys either - Corollas too.

Mine was leaking at 68,000 miles. Replaced under extended warranty. I hve also had my steering rack replaced and it is now in the shop for blown JBL amp.

Hmmm, I'm at 55k on my Japan Built 07. I guess I'll be inspecting everything real good at my next oil change. If I see anything that looks like residue from coolant I'll be seeing my local dealer before the 60k mark.
