2007 Prius AC question
I am not sure if this has been discussed. I attempted a search and was not been able to find the information I am seeking.
I am a first time Prius owner, recently purchased, and I am wondering what the AC temp should be out of the vents. I live in Texas, close to Houston and it is incredibly hot. My AC does not seem to be getting cold enough to cool down the car. I purchased a temp gauge that sticks in the vents and my AC is blowing about 50 degrees. My Highlander blew 40 degrees, but of course did not get near the gas mileage  Is 50 degrees normal or should I have the AC checked? |
Re: 2007 Prius AC question
I bet you are in ECO Mode.
Try the other modes and see if it makes a difference. Actually a 20 degree drop from ambient is considered good. So if the cabin temp is 80 you should get 60 degrees or lower from the vents. |
Re: 2007 Prius AC question
Thanks so much for replying! This is a whole new experience for me and I am trying to make sure everything is working as it should.
I am loving my Prius! Just went through my first tank of gas and averaged 43 MPG! :) Awesome! |
